Jess’ Monthly Reflection
This month has been busy!
After returning from a 2 month work trip my brain was overflowing with inspiration and I wanted to implement everything immediately. I don't recommend this approach, as it left me exhausted, task-switching and working WAY too much. It’s also why this edition of Moonlit Minds is a little shorter than usual.
One of the things keeping me busy this month has been the website. Simon Sinek says people know what they do, some know how they do it, but few know why they do what they do. From day one I've known why I do what I do, how I do it, but not what I do. So, this month was about getting clear on what Paradigm Makers actually does. I’m secretly working on a new digital course series which I’ll share in December, but for now, I’m happy with it. Let me know what you think of the new website!
I hope you enjoyed last Friday’s Beaver Moon (which was also the final supermoon of 2024),

EXPLORING THE HISTORICAL CONTEXT
Gender Bias in Medical Research
This month was all about opportunities for today and creating new paradigms for tomorrow so nothing specific to report.
Instead, I watched this interesting video on gender bias in medicine you might appreciate.
IDENTIFYING OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORK TODAY
Mental Health at Work
This month was all about mental health. I became a mental health first aider and have started sharing details of my personal experience with workplace mental health on LinkedIn. I'm currently on day 8 of a 90-day LinkedIn posting challenge so you'll see me pop up a lot (let me know if you want to hear how it goes).
The new Australian Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work Code of Practice is also live, which means organisations must have systems and processes to eliminate psychosocial hazards.
This morning I shared the first in Paradigm Makers Beyond Compliance Series (see if you can spot the 7 mistakes someone has already highlighted!). This series will provide practical guides for different aspects of the 80-page Code of Practice through the lens of Paradigm Makers Essential Elements.
If you have any questions about the Code let me know and I’ll include guidance in an upcoming guide.
CREATING A NEW WORK PARADIGM FOR TOMORROW
Meet Jess’ Clone
I officially have a digital clone...
I first heard about digital clones, or digital twins, in March 2023 and had mixed feelings. When the topic came up at October's Second Brain Summit I knew it was time to have a play.
I haven't stopped since!
Right now Jess' Clone can help answer questions about workplace mental health, psychosocial hazards and Paradigm Makers approach. As more people interact with it I'll start to identify areas to add my existing content so it can "think" more like me.
Creating my clone has confirmed that now is the perfect time to start building your own second brain, as one day we will all have a clone and it will require content. If you’re ready to create your second brain, my clone should be able to answer some of your questions. I'll share insights about how it's going when I have more to report.
If you’re ready to create your own digital clone, you can get a 50% discount off your first month of subscription using my link (this is a referral link and I will receive a commission if you create your clone using my link).
See you for December’s Cold Moon.
